Their homeworld is called Overworld. Compound C is one of the state-sponsored research facilities of the Combine, located on Overworld South. Recently, the Combine have acquired many new worlds, and these newly acquired worlds (as in conquered) caused emergent scientific developments, thus under the Combine's directives, Compound C is offering more employments than usual.
