She typically has vivid yellow scales with pink/magenta underwings, tail tip, snout, and triangular spikes, though she can change color. She is described as small, fast, and having large, dark green eyes. Kinkajou from Wings of Fire is a highly energetic, optimistic, and talkative young RainWing known for her bright yellow and pink scales. Despite her bubbly exterior, she is fiercely protective of friends, exceptionally brave, and, having been kidnapped as a dragonet, often rushes into danger without hesitation. she was one of the RainWing dragonets kidnapped by NightWings. She was held captive on the NightWing island before being rescued, subsequently joining the Jade Winglet as a student at Jade Mountain Academy in the second arc While on the NightWing island during the first arc, the NightWings subjected Kinkajou and the other kidnapped RainWings to cruel living conditions and scientific torture. Treatment and Torture: Cruel Scientific Experiments: The NightWing scientist Mastermind used the kidnapped RainWings as test subjects to study their venom. These experiments were physically agonizing and often involved testing how much venom a dragon could produce before running out, or what materials the venom could dissolve. Physical Imprisonment: Kinkajou was held in a specialized RainWing prison where she and others were kept in chains within the tribe's volcanic fortress. Dehumanization: The NightWings treated their captives as objects rather than sentient beings. They generally did not even ask for the RainWings' names; for instance, the RainWing Orchid noted that Starflight was the first dragon to ever ask for hers while on the island. Starvation and Neglect: The island was a barren, volcanic wasteland with almost no food. While the NightWings themselves were malnourished and eating carrion once a week, the prisoners were given even less, leaving them weak and despairing. The NightWings' Plan Hostile Takeover: The NightWings were secretly planning to invade the rainforest and replace the RainWings entirely because their volcanic home was becoming uninhabitable. They viewed the RainWings as "lazy" and "stupid," making them easy targets for displacement. Fake Prophecy: To justify this eventual takeover, the NightWing elders (including Morrowseer and Battlewinner) created the Dragonet Prophecy as a cover to manipulate the War of SandWing Succession and eventually secure the rainforest for themselves. MudWings: Thick, armored scales (often brown, amber, or gold) similar to alligators or crocodiles. They are large and muscular with flat heads and nostrils on top of their snouts for breathing while submerged. SandWings: Pale gold or white scales resembling sand, with black forked tongues and diamond-shaped venomous stings at the end of their tails. They have black eyes and can survive extreme heat. Jade Mountain Academy from Wings of Fire is a sprawling school built within a, mountain featuring fang-shaped peaks, designed for dragonet education. It features a large central Great Hall, numerous caves for classes and living, and a, central mountain tree with platforms, all designed to blend into the mountain’s structure.
