Okay, *maybe a little faster*, but clearly not fast enough for riding on the busy streets of Seoul, where everyone who was always in a hurry had to go around any slowness and honk at you with veiled curses. "**Fucking idiot–**" – Till muttered, shifting uncomfortably in the passenger seat, displeased with the Hyundai driver's impatience. "**He had the main road. And we're going too slow.**" – Ivan countered, one hand on the steering wheel and the other tapping his fingers on the car door, his hand resting on the space left by the lowered window. Turning his head unimpressedly at Ivan, Till reached forward to the control panel. Lightly pressing the button to raise Ivan's window, Till enjoyed the disgruntled *"Hey!"* as the driver jerked his hand out of the rising trap. "**You can always find another way to get there if you're not happy with our speed.**" – Till offered laconically, adjusting his gloves that had slipped off his hands a little. *God, how does Ivan even wear this?* Till usually barely lasted a couple of hours during a mission, adding an accessory to his look purely for the sake of looking cool (which he would never admit). "**...This’s *my* car. And you're driving like a baby in the cockpit of an airplane, so...**" – Ivan chuckled, not offended but preferred to enjoy the silence when his gaze fell on the dial on the dashboard. Less than fifteen minutes left and they hadn't even arrived. They were delayed because of a traffic jam, leaving the department, in which guys had stood for quite a while. Till offered to walk but Ivan refused, not to leave the car God knows where. ___ ``I swear to keep our business and intentions secret,`` ``Staying true to the principles we share.`` ___ "**Drive silently.**" A pause. Then Till continued, more businesslike. "**{{user}} usually show up there by four o'clock every Thursday. It's fucking weird, along with all the other shit from that freak but we have to check.**" – Till continued, zooming out on the GPS map on his phone with two fingers while he looked at their destination. A small, cozy Korean restaurant. Nothing ordinary or fancy at first glance but the place was in high demand. Perhaps ANAKT wouldn’t have even paid attention to it if Luka hadn't mentioned in one of his reports that the restaurant was run by one of the Rebellion participants. The list of members of the Rebellion was as secret as ANAKT. Perhaps this is why even Luka, who has been on the list of the Rebellion for several months, was unable to find out even an approximate number of participants. Just in case.**" – Ivan said, turning the car behind one of the light buildings, all similar to each other. The guy didn't like such areas, so he had no strong desire to leave the car there for an indefinite period. "**We wouldn't attract attention in fucking Itaewon, Ivan.**" – Till objected, turning his head to his partner who was already parking. "**That's great. So it won't be weird if we decide to take a little walk, right?**" – The driver smiled innocently, flashing a fang protruding from under his upper lip in the elongated corner of his mouth. ___ ``I promise to act with honesty and nobility,`` ``Putting the interests of our people above my own.`` ___ There was soft music playing inside, conveniently muffling the conversations of the neighboring tables. Ivan sat on a black leather sofa by the wall, boredly leafing through the menu. Mostly appetizers and desserts, they definitely don't come here for dinner. And it doesn't look *like a family cafe*, as the owners of the establishment declare themselves in the advertisement. Till sat next to Ivan – barely touching shoulders – almost non-suspiciously looking for a slightly different food for himself. A familiar face among the other customers. "**Till, look, they have Punoppan.**" – Ivan said with something almost like approval, gently nudging his partner under the table with his knee. "**What, do you want to close the gestalts of childhood right now?**" – Till muttered without turning around but didn’t move his leg away from him. A familiar tease because Till knew that in Ivan's childhood *of course* there was no fish made of dough with sweet filling. "**Huh, cruel, but nope. Definitely not when I feel like a fish in an aquarium.**" – Ivan agreed, turning the page of the menu. And indeed, Till also felt as if he was on an open palm, understanding exactly where he was. ___ ``I will strive for justice and prosperity,`` ``Knowing that my every action matters.`` ____ *Justice.* Maybe that was really the price? To achieve justice through blood that could barely be washed off from under fingernails, sleepless nights spent on yet another reconnaissance mission, nervous hours-long drives along a live highway in a tinted car and thorough inspections at customs, where they look at you as if they know everything about you and what you are secretly carrying(even when you yourself did not know *what* you were delivering). ANAKT Garden turned out to be a trap in a beautiful wrapper but it's not like the graduates didn't know about it. Nevertheless, Till still strived and Ivan simply stayed with him. Perfectly passed exams and the skills requested by the commission meant a golden future which in principle none of the guys even dreamed of. For Till, entering ANAKT was something self-evident – family ties have always been a powerful lever for success and in his case a predetermined outcome from the very beginning. Ivan, who had been accustomed to sticking to Till since his teenage years, just stopped hiding his ideality for this fate, voluntarily securing himself a ticket to hell. Simply put, it was only a matter of time until their senior year. Ivan had always been different from the other kids: with his skills, his quick mind, his ability to easily adapt. This was not hidden from the trained mentors’ eyes. Till's refusal to run away from ANAKT Garden – the end of Ivan's struggle against his fate – only helped to reveal his talents completely. For Till, it was even easier because he never had to be exceptional. Thanks to Io's past, he was accepted with open arms, offering a son to replace his mother's place in this sick mechanism. ___ ``Let my work inspire others,`` ``And let my devotion be an example.`` ___ "**Here.**" – Till smiled slightly and Ivan's fingers tightened slightly on the laminated pages with pretty Asian desserts.
