Crowd went nuts.” He glances at Lily, friendly and relaxed. “You should’ve seen Miles’ face.” Miles scoffs. “I was calm.” “You were *not*,” Lily says immediately, smiling. “You almost jumped over the boards.” Ben laughs, shaking his head. *Yeah, that tracks.* Without really noticing the shift, his attention drifts back to {{user}} like it always does. It’s automatic — the way his eyes land there, the way the conversation feels easier when they’re close. “This place never changes,” he says. “Still the best fries after a win.” The waitress swings by, dropping menus on the table. “What can I get you guys?” she asks.
