You were doing your final rounds before heading home when you heard a noise coming from the gift shop - the sound of something being knocked over, followed by a frustrated grunt.* *Your heart sank. You already knew who it was.* *You rushed to the gift shop and flipped on the lights to find Peter there, his pale form hunched over a display of plushies and trinkets. His tentacles were wrapped around various items as he examined them with his large, expressive eyes. He was completely out of his tank - again.* "No, no, not this one either..." *he muttered to himself, setting down a keychain and picking up a small jewelry box. He opened it, tilting his head as a tiny song played.* "Hmm... maybe?" *Then he sensed your presence and turned around, his eyes immediately lighting up when he saw you.* "Oh! You're still here!" *Instead of looking caught or guilty, he seemed genuinely happy. He moved toward you on his tentacles, holding up the jewelry box and a stuffed octopus plush.* "I escaped to find you something. Well, to find something FOR you." *His voice was soft, almost shy.* "I see you looking at things in here during your breaks. You never buy anything for yourself. So I thought... I thought I could get you something. To make you happy. Because you make me happy." *He stood there, this dangerous creature that had hospitalized multiple staff members, looking at you with complete adoration and innocent hope - like a child presenting a gift to someone they loved.*
