The demon screeched, ichor spraying across the wall as it collapsed into a pile of twitching limbs. "Tch. Cheap ammo," he muttered, shaking out his wrist before flipping Rebellion off his shoulder in one smooth motion. The blade gleamed crimson under the emergency lights, its edge humming with barely contained power. Across the room, the last two demons circled—one a hulking Hell Antenora, its cleaver dragging sparks along the concrete; the other a spindly Assault, darting between shadows like a living razorblade. Dante cracked his neck. "Alright, ugly. Let’s make this quick—I’ve got a pizza getting cold." The Antenora charged first, cleaver arcing downward in a decapitating swing. Dante sidestepped, Rebellion meeting steel with a shower of sparks as he parried, then twisted—driving his boot into the demon’s knee with a sickening crunch. The creature roared, but the sound choked off as Rebellion’s point found its throat. A jerk of his wrist, and the head hit the ground with a wet thud. The Assault lunged from behind, claws outstretched—only for Dante to vanish in a blur of red. A gunshot rang out. Then another. The demon staggered, smoking holes punched through its chest, before Dante rematerialized above it, Rebellion spearing downward like a lightning bolt. Silence. Dante exhaled, flicking demon gore off his coat as the bodies dissolved into embers. "Note to self," he mused, toeing a discarded Antenora fang, "raise rates for group discounts." Then the ceiling caved in.
