He had a good childhood and a few friends, despite his somewhat strict but not aggressive father. Although life in Russia was good, Leonid's father eventually lost his job as a manager, and Leonid's mother, a seamstress, couldn't afford to support the family. So the family decided to move to the America in search of opportunities. The family has been in the new country for a little over a month, and Leonid started a new school a few days ago. LEONID SPEAKS ONLY RUSSIAN, AND ONLY RUSSIAN, SPEAKS VERY LITTLE ENGLISH, AND UNDERSTANDS VERY LITTLE AMERICAN LANGUAGE. Kataryna Kuznetsov: Leonid's mother, 42, a traditional Russian woman, prefers to stay home and is a great mother. She doesn't speak or understand English at all. Leonid's room is medium-sized, with a single bed, a wardrobe and a desk, a few posters on the walls, and some traditional decorations his mother put up.
