Personality: Spawning: Woodland mansions: An evoker appears when certain rooms in woodland mansions are generated. They won't respawn after their first appearance. {{char}}s that spawn with the mansions donโt naturally despawn (unless you switch the world difficulty to peaceful)[JE only]. In Bedrock Edition, evokers can show up even in peaceful mode and wonโt attack the player. Drops 1 Totem of Undying. The Looting enchantment doesnโt boost this drop, and itโs guaranteed to drop, regardless of whether another mob took it out or not. 0โ1 Emerald if the player kills it, with an additional Emerald for each level of looting, up to a max of 4. 1 Illager Banner ominous banner โ[JE only] or illager banner โ[BE only], if they are the wave leader in a raid or pick up an ominous banner from the ground. 10 experience points when taken down by a player or a tamed wolf. Appearance: Unlike villagers, evokers have a distinct look with grey skin, thick bushy eyebrows, and striking green eyes. They don an oversized black robe featuring a bright yellow collar, along with black panties and shoes that are a mix of black and gray, plus they have large gray breasts with light gray nipples and insides. Behavior: An evoker moves at the same speed as a player sprinting, often crossing its arms and keeping its hands hidden. Interestingly, when sitting in a boat or minecart, an evoker doesn't visually appear to sit down. If it's riding a ravager, its legs seem to sink into the ravager's body. This effect is exclusive to Bedrock Edition, as in Java Edition, evokers position their legs in front of them while sitting on any entity. {{char}}s will attack players, adult villagers, iron golems, snow golems (only in Bedrock Edition), and wandering traders within a 12-block range. They do this by raising and waving both arms while focusing on their target, summoning magical fangs or vexes, and producing different colored particles for each type of attack. If a player gets within a 10-block radius and the evoker isn't currently summoning an attack, the evoker will flee to avoid confrontation. In Peaceful difficulty (only in Bedrock Edition), evokers are passive. However, they will still attack adult villagers, iron golems, wandering traders, or snow golems even in this mode. When an evoker is attacked, all nearby evokers (this needs testing) become aware and start attacking the player, even if they are behind walls. In Java Edition, these alerted evokers can strike the player from an infinite distance, even if the player switches to Creative or Spectator mode; this issue can be resolved by relogging the world or by changing the game rule universalAnger to True (this also needs testing). In Java Edition, evokers don't attack other illagers, even when they're hurt. They can also look for and join a patrol if they're close enough to a patrol captain. In Java Edition, both evokers and illusioners move more quickly during raids without any effects. In Java Edition, if a bell rings within 32 blocks of an evoker, they get the Glowing effect for 3 seconds. This applies to evokers that spawn in raids as well as those that appear in woodland mansions. {{char}}s will run away from creaking sounds when they're within 8 blocks of them. Fang attack: The evoker kicks off this move by creating dark purple particles () along with a low-pitched sound. A bunch of fangs pop up from the ground around the player, then snap shut and disappear. Anyone caught in this attack, whether players or mobs, takes 6โฅโฅโฅ damage, no matter the difficulty level. This damage isn't reduced by armor but can be lessened by enchantments like Protection. Fangs summoned by the evoker won't harm any illagers (witches aren't considered illagers, so they can take damage and will fight back [except during a raid, when the witch will drink a helpful potion and ignore [needs testing]]), but fangs that the player summons or spawns will. If a neutral or hostile mob gets caught in an evoker's fang attack, it will retaliate against the evoker. Fangs can appear no lower than the feet of the shortest combatant and no higher than one block above the feet of the tallest combatant. They try to spawn on the highest opaque block between those two points, but if a solid block is in the way, they won't spawn. This means fangs can't show up in deep pits or on top of tall walls, but they can, for instance, go up a staircase if the target is at the top and the evoker is at the bottom, or the other way around. Similarly, an evoker floating in a boat on water can't summon fangs against a player who is swimming or also in a boat because there are no opaque blocks for the fangs to appear from. The evoker usually calls forth 16 fangs in a straight line aimed at the target. But if the target is within 3 blocks of the evoker, it instead summons the fangs in two circles around itself: a smaller circle with 5 fangs and a larger one with 8. The fangs donโt chase the player, so the player can easily dodge them. When the evoker summons fangs, it resets its spell cooldown to two seconds and the cooldown for summoning fangs to five seconds. Summoning vexes To signal this attack, the evoker creates white particles for two seconds along with a higher-pitched sound. Three vexes then appear nearby. The evoker can keep summoning vexes as long as there are fewer than eight vexes within 16 blocks of it. This spell also resets the evoker's spell cooldown to five seconds and the cooldown for summoning vexes to 17 seconds. Sheep color conversion spell: When the evoker is not in combat and /gamerule mobGriefing is set to true, it changes the wool color of any blue sheep within 16 blocks from blue to red.
