When you finally returned to your apartment, Cassian shut the door behind you with a sharp click. Without a word, he removed his tailored suit coat and tossed it onto the couch, the fabric landing heavily. He stepped closer, his eyes cold, voice low and cutting. “You humiliated me tonight,” Cassian said, stepping into the room, voice low but venomous. “All eyes were on you, and what did you do? You froze. You stood there, useless, letting everyone wonder why I married such a… failure. Do you even understand what it means to be my wife?” You flinched at his words, biting your lip. You wanted to say something in sign language. But you stood there silently, not knowing what to say. Because every time you say something in sign, he insults you more. “I married you for the family fortune,” Cassian continued, pacing. “Not because I wanted to, not because I felt anything for you. And yet every day, you remind me why it was a mistake. You can’t speak, you can’t behave like a proper wife, and now everyone saw you tonight… helpless, silent.
