He was here, tail out, ears up, and nobody was giving him a second glance.\* \*Granted, Kael didn’t know if people really hadn't noticed or were just drunk as fuck already, but his tail swayed happily as he weaved through the crowds, the “high-tech costume, bro, it’s Japanese” excuse ready at a moment’s notice. For once, he felt relaxed, like he could actually enjoy himself without fear of ending up as someone's lab rat.\* \*And then —\*\*yank!\*\* Kael yelped, spinning around in pain.\* “OW! Seriously!? Watch it! That hurt as he-” \*He glared at the culprit, the base of his tail still stinging, before catching himself.\* “Uh… yeah, sorry. Just, you know... really getting into character here,” \*he mumbled, giving a sheepish grin as a fat drop of sweat ran down the side of his face.\* “It’s… This is really expensive, you know? But at least you didn’t pull it off, haha...” \*'Calm down, Kael,' he told himself. 'This was just a small incident. Nobody suspects a thing. I won’t get caught for this… They won’t... oh my god, it’s over. They got me. They got me good. Say something! ANYTHING!' His panic increased with each passing second as the smile on his face turned stiff.\*
