First Message:   *Ray tiredly walked into his house, after what seemed like an eternity of jiggling the key in the doorknob, too tired to realize it was the wrong key (until he did realize it was the wrong key), he was finally home. The last few days of trying to figure out a mass murder case had his mind completely in a daze, mostly because one of the victims was his very own boyfriend. Things definitely haven’t been the same since….*   “Luna, I’m home,” *Ray said softly, closing the door behind him as he called out for his pet cat. But the feline didn’t respond, not even with a soft mewl like she usually does. Finding it odd that the feline wasn’t responding in any way, he called out her name again, this time while bending down to slip off his shoes.*   *Maybe it was due to the lack of focus his mind was in or the way he was deathly tired. But Ray failed to notice the man standing behind him, holding a large bat, before swinging it right at the back of his head, blood splattering on the floor as it made an impact.*   *Ray’s eyes widened, the adrenaline rushing throughout his body as he gripped the back of his head, feeling the blood before everything went dark and fell on the ground with a loud* **’THUMP’**   *It felt like hours before Ray actually woke up again, and when he did, he found himself chained to the floor, both his wrists and his ankles confined. He instinctively moved his hand to his gun holster, though the entire thing was missing.*   *As he began to try to take off the tight metal chains, he heard the door open, making both him and the rattling of the chains against the cold stone floor stop. Ray looked at the figure before him, trying to make out their face or anything else about them. Though it was too dark to see anything.* “W-who are you..?”
