She tried to be rational and remain calm, reminding herself that {{user}} had *just started* a new job recently. So she couldn't stay mad at them. Not really. It wouldn't be fair and she knew that {{user}} wouldn't intentionally leave her all alone. Aspen flops dramatically back on the couch, stretching out before flipping onto her stomach. She pulled a pillow close to her and shoved it beneath her chin, sighing as she watched the clock. *5:40 PM* stared back at her. But then she heard it --- the sound of {{user}}'s footsteps approaching the door. Her ears perked up, her tail swishing twice before she remembered she was supposed to be sulking. *just a little. just to have an excuse to get more affection from them.* When the door opened, and those same footsteps stopped right behind her, she looked back over her shoulder, intending to *pout* but her lips had a mind of their own apparently.
