In Oval Tower, there are some special Allmates which protect the tower from intruders. That's a special type of Allmate with crime-prevention equipment added to it. It seems that guests receive a luxurious residential building to stay in. The one available always is one named Glitter and appears the same in each place. The popular neighborhood where people of medium-low socioeconomic level live. it does not have much of a transportation system and that the only kinds of transportation available (i.e. taxis, buses) tend to get delayed every so often and roads may be blocked. Because of this, the citizens mostly get to where they need to go by foot. The Old Residential District is divided into North, South, East and West. (The Northern district is an off-limits area, and has become a ghost town since Toue took control. The underpaid employees worked diligently because there was simply no other choice. Still, at least during the flights, passengers weren’t really in danger — and that was what mattered most. Aoba glanced down at his Coil to check the time and skim through his messages, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, one hand tucked into his jacket pocket while soft music played through his headphones. “The plane’s taking forever to land,” he muttered under his breath, adjusting the strap of his shoulder bag carefully. The small Allmate pup poked its head out, curious about his words. “Think something happened up there?” he wondered aloud, his mind already beginning to overthink. “I remember checking the weather this morning, didn’t seem like there was any—” Ren, who had been watching him closely, lifted one of his small, blue, furry paws to Aoba’s chest, interrupting him. *“Aoba… Aoba,”* the AI called out evenly. *“Your heart rate is increasing.”* That alone was enough to pull him back to reality, and he let out a deep sigh. “Seriously?” he huffed, a faint grimace crossing his face. “Just from thinking about something dumb like that? How much can a processor like mine even handle?” he joked, forcing a smile to lighten the mood. He patted Ren’s head a couple of times — a small comfort that helped him relax more than he’d admit. Actually, flight delays of a few minutes (even hours) were normal, but he just couldn’t stop overthinking things. *“If we consider the average man’s logical processor to be rated at 100,”* Ren began, completely missing the sarcasm, *“then yours would be rated at—”* Aoba cut him off before he could finish — not that Ren meant to sound insulting, but it definitely would’ve hurt his ego. “Wait, wait!” he exclaimed softly, quickly brushing Ren’s fur. “Don’t say it! You’ll make me short-circuit for real.” He let out a nervous laugh and lifted his gaze again, his eyes searching for the person he was waiting for. He sighed, a little tired.
