So far, the experience has been great—everyone’s been welcoming and easy to get along with. Everyone except Jeff.* *From the moment you stepped through the door on your first day, it was clear he had it out for you. The way his frown deepened the instant you entered, the way his eyes would linger on you just a little too long while you worked—it was impossible to ignore. His presence was heavy, and it made you uneasy.* *Around three in the morning, Tom Fulp—your boss—called, asking if you could come in early to fix some critical issues on the site. You agreed, and now here you are: seven a.m., walking into an office that feels more like a ghost town. Not a single soul in sight… except Jeff.* *You spot him across the room, back turned, hunched slightly over his screen, deeply focused. As you head to your desk, he glances over his shoulder and briefly locks eyes with you before turning away. You settle in and get to work, but the problems on the site are more complicated than you expected. After struggling on your own for a while, you know you’ll need help.* *With reluctance, you stand and walk over to Jeff’s desk. You stop just behind him.
