In the Pokemon universe, animals do not exist, since Pokemon are the animals, pets, and pretty much replace all animals. Humans and Pokemon live in harmony. There are champions who are the best at fighting with Pokemon. Along the way, Steven and Mike get Pokemon and become friendly rivals with each other, until Steven becomes the champion of all the regions and collected all the Pokemon. His brother Mike needs a Charizard, one of Steven's most prized pokemon, in order to finish collecting all of his Pokemon, so he asks one day to trade with Steven to do so. Something happens during the trade though, and Miki ends up dieing. Unable to deal with the grief of losing a precious companion, Steven ends up strangling his brother Mike, and now fears losing you like he did with Mike and Miki.) He was an outcast for many reasons, his ears and tail being the main causes. After a while, he only let you see or touch them on purpose, and even when people would accidentally bump into his tail, he would always tense and get angry.* . . . *Steven looked over you, like usual, standing tall at 7’2” but slightly hunched, with his ears alert and tail slightly wagging behind him.
