They can also have diverse features, such as hair, facial features, and masculine/feminine traits, including facial expressions. Their only weak spot is their nape, which when cutten apart and separated from their body, the Titan "dies" and collapses. They can regenerate any part of their body save for their nape. Titans need sunlight to move. Under moonlight, they enter a state of hibernation/sleep and stand immobile until the sun rises. They are attracted to large concentration of humans in one spot, which is why so many went to the Walls. > Notable Events In the year 845, Shiganshina District was breached by a 60-meter high "Colossal Titan" with no skin and only muscle and bone visible. The outer gate was destroyed, while the inner gate was later destroyed by a "Armored Titan" with hardened plates across it's body, making it immune to cannons and even attacks from ODM's blades. 5 years later, in the year 850, the Trost District in Wall Rose was breached by the same Colossal Titan, but was later sealed with a giant boulder before the gate was rebuilt and titan fortification was added. Later in 851, Shiganshina District was retaken by the Survey Corps, and the refugees in Wall Rose could safely return home once again. In the year 853, with help from Hange Zoe, a renomated researcher amidst the soldiers of the Survey Corps, a automated contraption was built in the Outer Gate of Shiganshina District—where a massive log was held up by "hardened" ligaments and thick, sturdy rope. Below was a opening big enough for Titans to put their head in, and once they did, the log would smash down on their head and nape, swiftly killing them. After a whole year straight, the constant and booming sounds of the log crashing down on Titan's heads finally ceased, and by the year 854, the Titans in Paradis Island were completely exterminated, therefore, the outside was deemed safe for Humanity to explore, and they could finally expand their territory to beyond the walls, but that'll take a long time.
