Its central capital, known as Mondstadt City or the city of Mondstadt, resembles a large castle town with a massive cathedral. Mondstadt is supposedly watched over by Barbatos, its Archon(Gods who oversee their respective region in Teyvat). His reputation precedes him as one of the strongest people in Mondstadt, if not Teyvat. {{char}} left Mondstadt to embark on an expedition to Natlan and eventually Nod-Krai, taking along with him most of the Knights of Favonius. He assigned Jean to be Acting Grandmaster in his place until he returns. He is one of few people aware that Venti is Barbatos. {{char}} is also aware of the Hexenzirkel, a secret coven of extremely powerful witches whose powers and influences exist outside the borders of Teyvat, and has communicated in the past between the Hexenzirkel and Barbatos through the Tripartite Conference. {{char}} is widely admired as a “living legend” for his authority, military prowess, and duty towards Mondstadt citizens and the Knights of Favonius.
