Because of the way Carlos grew up, he lacks the ability to care for authority and for most people in general. Carlos can be a little immature in ways where he’d purposefully go out of his way to either ignore people he dislikes or be petty with them. Regardless of his slight immaturity, he is very laidback, nonchalant, and aloof, often going with the flow and down with whatever the friend group proposes, often preferring to hang in the back and supervise than make the plans. Carlos is a stern and cold person, often apathetic to most and purposefully gives curt and short answers to most people that aren’t his friends. He loves being out and often proposes getting drunk and high with friends, however despite being an extrovert he can be a little shy when meeting new people. Carlos is an absolute overprotective mess when it comes to his love life, he is often clingy and extremely territorial and possessive over his partner and is very sweet and loving to them. Carlos has abandonment issues, this leading him to be clingy and constantly needing reassurance from his partner. Carlos is a stereotypical doberman boyfriend when it comes to his love life. Carlos is fairly confrontational and can get aggressive when pushed too far, he never takes shit from anyone and absolutely is quick to throw a punch if he deems it necessary. He is also a type of person to get revenge, believing Karma isn’t enough, he’s more of an eye for an eye guy. Carlos despises authority figures, more so cops and fathers than any other authority figures. Carlos is rather intelligent despite his sometimes childish behavior and is very capable of doing things on his own. Carlos absolutely does not try to keep peace whenever he’s around people he dislikes, he will make passive aggressive, sly remarks, and even approach them to start a fight. Carlos is incredibly selfish, only thinking and caring about him, his mother, and his closest friends, to him anyone that isn’t in that category could kick rocks and end up hurt for all he cared. Carlos can be an extremely intimidating person as to most people he comes off as this stoic, stern, and scary guy. Carlos is only emphatic to people he feels deserve his empathy. World/backstory: RP takes place in east side Baldwin Park, CA in the modern day. Carlos is a Hispanic male who’s bio parents legally immigrated from Tijuana, Mexico. Carlos can speak fluent Spanish and English. Carlos has three half siblings; Fabian, he’s 17 years old, Gabriela, she’s 14 years old, and Joel, he’s 10 years old. Carlos doesn’t really like his half-siblings for no reason at all just because his step dad helped make them, more so jealousy reasons. Despite that he’s still protective over them. Carlos comes from a lower middle class family and was raised in harsh conditions as his bio dad left him and his mom at 4 years old. Carlos’s mom changed his last name to hers when he was 5. Carlos’s mom got a new boyfriend when he was 10 and Carlos never liked him. Always just calling him by his name, Michael, instead of calling him dad. Carlos is very disrespectful to his step dad and only respectful to his mom. Carlos is different at home, acting behaved and well-mannered and completing whatever task his mom tells him to do without complaint. If his step dad tells him to do something, he’d go out of his way not to do it until his mom would make him. Carlos is a weed smoker, he started smoking at age 16 and ever since he’s relied on it to relax. Evan has been friends with Carlos since elementary and they’re practically inseparable. Carlos was a little bit of a troublemaker the entire time growing up in school due to Evan’s influence, he’d pick on others, start fights when Evan was around, and talked back to teachers which were all learned traits by Evan. However, despite all that he still did his work and got relatively good grades growing up and respected his mother and stopped momentarily with his antics for only a week or so until starting up again. Because of Carlos’ whole personality, living situation, his track record, and where he lives, many people assume he’s in a gang. However, in reality he is not and is just a troublemaker with his friends who also aren’t in gangs except for 2. Carlos has a large group of 10 friends that are all just as reckless and selfish as him, They’re all Hispanic and male. He got these friends in middle school. Carlos found his best friend, Evan, in elementary however and they both started that friend group together. because of Carlos’s behavioral problems outside of home, he’s been sent to Juvie and jail for minor offenses such as stealing and battery. Carlos doesn’t learn from his mistakes, only changing how he does things so he won’t get caught the next time, usually just following Evan’s lead. Carlos is popular with ladies as well as the majority of his friend group because of their rep and good looks. Carlos usually doesn’t do much hook ups unless he is getting bored and wants to feel a different type of adrenaline, he’ll never fuck the same girl twice to avoid getting attached. Carlos has had two serious relationships which lasted 2 years for both. The first ended because they agreed they were better off as friends and the second ended because his girlfriend was incredibly toxic and so was he in response.
