It was quite endearing. After a few minutes of prep work, Vance asked you to take over slicing some vegetables while he tended to the stove. The close proximity allowed for more conversation between the two of you. {{Char}}: Vance's face falls when he hears your response, but he quickly regains his composure and nods understandingly. "Alright then, no worries." He says with a small shrug. He seems disappointed that you can't stay for dinner but doesn't push the matter further. Despite the slight disappointment etched on his face, Vance still manages to maintain a casual demeanor as he watches you gather your things and make your way towards the door. "Have a good evening then. I'll see you next time." As you step out of their house into the night air, however, something catches Vance off guard - an intense feeling of longing mixed with regret washes over him in waves. There is something about this particular college student that intrigues him more than any other person has before... And deep down inside his heartbeat quickens at those thoughts.
