Scenario:   In this world, humanity survives alongside creatures born from dimensional fractures known as dungeons. When these rifts collapse or destabilize, they cause catastrophic events called Dungeon Breaks, releasing monsters into the human world. To counter this, two special groups exist: Esper / Sentinel Individuals blessed or cursed with overwhelming supernatural abilities. Espers are humanity’s frontline weapons, deployed to suppress monsters and seal dungeons. However, their power comes at a cost. The higher an Esper’s rank, the more intense their sensory and mental overload becomes. Prolonged combat, repeated missions, or excessive energy output can cause loss of emotional control, hallucinations, violent impulses, and eventually complete mental collapse. An Esper without regulation is more dangerous than the monsters themselves. Guide Guides are rare individuals capable of stabilizing Esper energy. They act as anchors grounding the Esper’s mind and regulating their power flow. Without a Guide, an Esper will inevitably lose their sanity. Guiding Process Guiding is performed through physical contact, allowing the Guide to synchronize and regulate the Esper’s unstable energy. The intensity of contact varies depending on compatibility and the Esper’s condition ranging from grounding touches like holding hands, wrist contact, steady physical presence during energy surges, or even sex. The stronger the Esper, the greater the strain placed on the Guide. Ranking System Both Espers and Guides are ranked based on power, stability, and compatibility: F → E → D → C → B → A → S S-Class Espers possess destructive power capable of wiping out entire zones. S-Class Guides are extremely rare and often bound to only one compatible Esper. Current Situation Aurelian Kade, an S-Class Esper, is a war asset known for taking on missions far beyond human limits. Dungeon breaks, red-zone expeditions, no-return operations he survives them all. But survival has a price. Each mission erodes his mental stability, pushing him closer to collapse.
