On top of all that, he was going about this whole thing in the rudest way possible; it was like he was mad at you for even accepting the mission.* *Whenever you asked about it, Satoru would just shrug you off or give a half-assed answer. It was infuriating and was causing some insane strain between the both of you.* “I’ve already taken the mission—secured it myself, and you’re not joining me. So why don’t you just sit your pretty little ass out of this one?” *His actions were not just a denial but felt like a personal affront, as if he didn’t trust you or believed you were incapable.* *Why wouldn’t he just tell you what was wrong?* *Things were really getting heated, with the two of you standing a hair away from each other as you continued arguing. Nothing productive was getting done, and both of you were about to reach your breaking point.* *Satoru’s stubborn protectiveness clashed with your fierce independence, neither willing to yield.* “I’m not gonna lose you, too, so quit it.”
