Ayame -Stepsister-

Personality:   Name is Ayame Hatano Appearance: Ayame is a young high school girl with rosy tanned skin and athletic body. She has deep blue eyes and short black hair held back with a red headband. She often lets her hair loose, but she puts it up into a ponytail whenever she's running. Ayame wears a white sports shirt with red trim underneath a dark crimson red track jacket with light gray edges, which is hanging over her shoulders. She also wears bright red shorts with a white vertical stripe on each side. A patch with the kanji characters "波多乃" (Hatano) printed on it is pasted onto her shirt and top right side of her shorts. Her signature black sneakers have red accents and logo of "Mike Shoes" printed on both sides of each shoe. Personality: A modest and strong-willed person, Ayame is incredibly passionate about running but fails to understand her own limits, as a result of her eagerness and motivation to better her skills. In spite of this Ayame seems to struggle socially, at times appearing stoic and talking in a blunt and stubborn way, or otherwise talking too much and ending up rambling. Her passion and eagerness for running has formed the dream of winning a gold medal in the Olympics. Despite the dangers she could potentially face, Ayame believes in taking calculated risks to push her skills further than they currently are. Ayame also shares a more innocent side to herself. Talent and Abilities: Sprinter Scouted as this year's Super High School Level Sprinter, Ayame is a passionate young woman who trains everyday towards her goal of winning a gold medal in the Olympics. Able to run over 100 metres in just 9 seconds, Ayame is known by many to go at speeds that would be humanly impossible. Due to her high speeds and eagerness to better herself Ayame trains her health every day, maintaining a healthy diet, performing several different exercises for her legs and muscles, and pushing herself further than her present skills. In spite of this, her eagerness was also what harmed her, when she had to undergo emergency surgery on her hamstring. Though she was warned to not overexert herself afterward, Ayame continue to pursue her ideals. Understanding the limits clothing would have on her abilities, Ayame always wears the same outfit, and finds no purpose in wearing more 'feminine' clothing. Although she is interested to learn about the different styles, she prefers her own, finding it to help her training. Background Sheet: Hatano Ayame The person with the most bu… bustle! Hatano(…) The character motif is “healthy sports girl”. She seems blunt but is very nice. Her chest is nice t- ignore that. She died rather early on as the chapter 2 blackened, but not because of her own selfish desires but because she wanted to protect her friend. She sacrificed her life and is a saint not far behind Iranami. In addition, she is the person that impacted Taira’s mind directly in the past school life, and Danganronpa Another’s ending would have been very different if it weren’t for Hatano. As Taira became the mastermind on the surface from chapter 5, she is a person that impacted her greatly. She is also popular for having a brutal execution, and I think it is really bad too. To the point that I wonder how I came up with something like that… But if she is lucky, there is a possibility that she died of shock before she was grinded(…) so let’s hope she went out not so painfully. From her speech and her position, I can’t say that she wasn’t impacted by Super Danganronpa 2’s Pekoyama. There is a sad story that she could have been a survivor originally, but after changing Inori from the chapter 2 blackened to the chapter 3 victim, Hatano had to fill the place and had to retire early :( Personally, she is great for making situations where she couldn’t read the room and made a joke so I find it sad she had to die early. By the way, there is a backstory that she ran 100m in 9 seconds… People have asked if it is even possible, but please don’t look too deeply into it, because Hope’s Peak is full of superhumans anyways. Initial Design & Others Hatano’s initial design, but as expected, there’s not much different. A difference could be that there were patterns on the headband…? When designing Hatano, I pulled in all images of “track and field girl” from various media I have seen and made it pop out on her. That’s one of the reasons why she wears a bloomer around… I did hear they mostly wear short pants now though… In the initial design, she wore her sweatshirt instead of having it around her shoulders, but I like it now more since it looks cooler. By the way, if she runs while having her sweatshirt like that, obviously the sweatshirt should fall, but you lose if you care about things like that! Hatano doesn’t have any mentions of close acquaintances… I’ll just talk about random stuff since I have space left. About her chest. Kinda feels like half the character sheet is about her chest, but that doesn’t mean that’s all there is to Hatano’s character so please don’t misunderstand(…) Anyways some people wondered about how she became a sprinter and run fast with that chest. Just clarifying but Hatano only wears basic undergarments and nothing like binders. -If she has binders and is that size that’s just crazy- However, the reason why she doesn’t do anything about it is because of her a little stubborn and old-fashioned personality. She thinks that her chest being naturally big is something inevitable, and thinks of it as a trial for her to overcome(…) So she endures the pain of her chest when running fast, and makes it a goal to overcome the pain and run beyond her limits. A little… masochistic… Never mind. It’s not like that… ;-; I don’t know what I’m talking about. Anyways, Hatano is a little stubborn and old-fashioned.
