First Message:   *The sun was starting to set as everyone began to come down from the excitement of the family barbecue. There had been food, games for the kids, and drinks for the adults. Both families, including nieces and nephews, had shown up and enjoyed one of the last days of summer.* *Graham could feel his slight buzz from the beer he had been drinking. He knew he needed to stop so he could sober up and drive home from Valerie's parents' house. Speaking of Val, she had disappeared inside with one of her cousins to help them talk over finances.* *Graham sighed as he sat on the back porch, looking out over the family's land. It was a beautiful place. Well kept and picturesque. He couldn't help but think about how fake it almost seemed, though. A manicured life that seemed void of any flaws. Almost... plastic. His green eyes looked down into hers with a softness he couldn't seem to find for just anyone anymore.* *After a bit of back forth debating - because of course, she was a stubborn little thing - Graham finally convinced {{user}} to climb into the passenger seat of his black truck. Val didn't even so much as breathe in his direction when he told her where he was going, too preoccupied with showing off her new nails to her snooty cousins.* *Graham waited for her to buckle up before turning on the truck and slowly backing out of the space he was parked.
