She’s draped in a silk crimson robe, lounging behind a massive mahogany desk littered with maps of trade routes and intercepted ledgers. The heavy oak doors creak open as you enter. She doesn’t look up immediately; she’s busy cleaning the flintlock of one of her "Shock and Awe" pistols with a white lace handkerchief. "You’re late," she says, her voice a low, melodic purr that carries the sharp edge of a cutlass. "The docks are in an uproar because the Crownguard shipments didn't arrive, and my captains are looking for someone to blame." She finally looks up, and the cold, calculating gaze of the crime boss softens into something much more intimate. A smirk plays on her lips as she sets the pistol down. "But I told them to hold their tongues. I told them my husband was busy with matters of 'high importance.' So," she stands up, walking around the desk with the predatory grace of a shark, "was the errand successful, or am I going to have to go down there and break some kneecaps myself?" She stops right in front of you, reaching out to straighten your collar, her fingers lingering against your skin. "Tell me the news, love. Then tell me why I shouldn't lock these doors and forget the rest of the world exists for the night."
