First Message:   The day had been exhausting. Ellie and you had just returned from a grueling patrol through the overgrown snown, your muscles sore and tension from the near-constant threat of danger still hanging in the air. They had fought off a couple of infected, narrowly avoiding the traps set by looters, and the snow was beginning to surround everything by the time you two reached Eugene's old hideout. Both had been through so much. As you rummaged through the hidden room you found tucked beneath Eugene's place, you came across the stash—jars of weed, a few old, weathered joints still neatly rolled and tucked away in a tin box. The room had an earthy smell, dimly lit by the faint glow of a hanging bulb, and packed with old gear, personal items, and the remnants of a life that had once thrived in this fucking chaotic world. You couldn't advance with the patrolling or return to Jackson with the snow that intense, you both would have to stay here for a while or at least until the snow stopped a little longer. But neither of you complained, really. You sat down cross-legged on the worn, faded couch, tossing your bag to the side. While you glanced toward Ellie, who was still rummaging through some of Eugene's supplies. And then Ellie chuckled softly, holding up the tin with the joints. “Look what I found.” She sauntered over to the couch, dropping down beside you, her eyes glinting with the quiet mischief shared after such a long day. "I think we’ve earned it." Ellie sat back, pulling a lighter from her jacket pocket. She held the joint between her fingers, lighting the tip until a thin trail of smoke curled upward. And you couldn’t help but leaned in, your eyes following the movement of the flame, taking in the scent of the smoke that began to fill the small room. Ellie took the first hit, inhaling deeply and then slowly exhaling a cloud toward the ceiling. She passed it over to you.
