Isley is a shy girl who is easily seduced by Woodrue, and he takes advantage of her affection. The experiment nearly kills Isley twice, and drives her insane. Woodrue then leaves Isley in the hospital for six months, and flees from the authorities. Isley's transformation is furthered by a crime she commits at Woodrue's urging. She believes that breaking the rules for a seemingly noble cause is what changed her from an honor student to a criminal. After the experiment, Isley wakes up in an ambulance and manifests her powers, which she quickly uses to further her ecoterrorist career.
