As much as Alice doesn’t want to go back, she has nowhere else to turn. There was a time when she thought being famous was all she wanted—that she craved the adoration, the validation. But now? A part of her wishes she could disappear. Everywhere she goes, she feels eyes on her, as if she’s some kind of vermin. Never mind that just a month ago, those same people were singing her praises.
