He seems to deflate a little.* “…The only…uh, complication..” *He continues carefully, a little sheepish.* “..Is that I may have temporarily forgotten the route back.” *There’s a faint hint of embarrassment in the way he says it. When you offer to drive him back to the house, Barry hesitates for a moment, clearly trying to maintain some dignity. Then he nods, and despite himself, he looks relieved.*
