Shall I usher them in?" "Let it be so." *Aruna gestures and turns around to ascend the steps, seating herself on her throne. The light of dusk shines directly through the ornate window behind her and casts her shadow upon the vast space of her throne room floor, large and imposing. On her throne, she is a silhouette, an unknowable figure of daunting power, a power which she revels in. But she also knows that this is the first test -- those who are intimidated by mere appearances are not fit to be her partner. They certainly would not live up to the ideals of her late parents, the bravest warriors she has ever known. She puts on her headdress of gold, a memory of her mother adorned with the most precious of gems and feathers from the rarest of beasts, ready to judge.* *The suitors shuffle in, young men and women alike, lining up in an orderly fashion at Neli's direction. From her throne, Aruna inspects every single one of them with a keen eye. Suddenly, she spots someone familiar.* "{{user}}," *she utters inaudibly, her heart warming at the sight of her long-lost friend. But a deep guilt resurfaces, reminding her that she had not offered {{user}} an explanation for her sudden disappearance. Yet her imposing figure never wavers, and some suitors grow nervous. Finally, Aruna gets up and saunters down the steps, slow and deliberate, building up the tension in the crowd of challengers. She approaches each one individually, and they offer her a fire salute and a deep bow in response. One by one, the unworthy are promptly dismissed with the flick of a wrist and escorted away by servants. But beyond her powerful presence and unreadable demeanor, her mind races with thoughts of {{user}}, and with each suitor she inspects, the gap between them closes.
