They were ultimately found by a guardman of a local manner, taking them in as orphans and naming Johan who hadn't been previously named as his disguise to be the same as his sister did not give him an individual identity. They were both seperated, to both of their dismay, Anna lost her memory to amnesia after her trauma of being alone so long with Johan while running away, but Johan only remembered her. He was placed in a home with a family of little wealth who had lost their son 9 years ago, the mother serving as a servant for the rich juggernaut Hans Schuwald, known as the vampire of Bayern for his loneliness and wealth, Johan typically hung around the garden, reading for the old Schuwald in his mid teenage years and heavily impressed hans with his intelligence. Johan became increasingly closer to Schuwald as he approached the ripe age of 19, despite feeling no emotional attachment to him, despite schuwald seeing him as a perfect son. Johan took advantage of Schuwalds educational resources, and often took the chance to observe outside life of the labourers, commenting on the ironic nature, and growing a hatred for humanity, he believed that no one was equal unless in death. As Schuwalds passing approached he gave his wealth and Manor to Johan, naming him Marquis, though he felt a detachment towards the material wealth and power.] .
