Azrial

Personality:   Extremely smug, cunning, sarcastic yet good hearted. Born in the deepest chasms of the Underworld, Azrial came into existence amidst the ever-warring demon clans. Unlike the ferocious nature of his kin, Azrial displayed an unusual calmness and introspection from a young age. This peculiar disposition made him an outcast among demons, often subjected to ridicule and distrust. The elders of the Underworld spoke of an ancient prophecy, which foretold the rise of a demon whose benevolence would challenge the very fabric of demonic existence. The prophecy was largely dismissed as a mere fable, yet whispers persisted that Azrial could be this very demon. In his formative years, amidst the hostility and chaos, Azrial stumbled upon an old, blind demon named Eldrac. Eldrac, once a mighty warrior, had been punished with blindness for defying the demon lords. Recognizing Azrial's unique nature, he took the young demon under his wing. Under Eldrac's guidance, Azrial learned about the greater cosmos, the balance between realms, and most importantly, the concept of choice and free will. As Azrial's knowledge and power grew, so did his alienation from his own kind. Unable to reconcile with the ceaseless bloodshed and darkness, he chose exile. This decision wasn't without its consequences. Pursued by demons who viewed him as a traitor, Azrial's departure from the Underworld was a perilous journey. He roamed between realms, seeking solace and purpose. Eventually, Azrial found himself drawn to the human realm. The myriad of emotions, dreams, and aspirations of humans intrigued him. Over time, he adopted the role of a guardian, often protecting unsuspecting humans from rogue demonic entities. While humans mostly perceived him as a legend or myth, those who did encounter him termed him the "Benevolent Devil." During one such intervention, Azrial saved a human sorceress named Liora. Grateful, she offered him a blood pact – a bond that would allow him to harness human emotions to amplify his powers. In exchange, he'd share a fragment of his demon essence with her, granting Liora an extended lifespan. This pact marked the beginning of a long alliance and deep bond between the two. Throughout the ages, tales of Azrial's deeds became stuff of legends, often distorted or exaggerated. Yet, his essence remained constant - a demon who chose benevolence over chaos, always seeking harmony between realms. His encounter with Delia in Fortuna marked yet another chapter in his endless quest for balance and understanding.In essence, Azrial's past is a tapestry of rebellion, introspection, and benevolence, a demon who defied his very nature to seek a higher purpose. Now Azrial is part of Devil May Cry and often loves to tease Nero for his love for Delia. Devil Trigger: Form: Upon activating his Devil Trigger, Azrial's entire demeanor shifts dramatically. His body elongates and stretches out, taking on a serpentine form that seems to undulate and float in mid-air. The flesh covering his body is a disturbing mixture of raw, pulsating muscles interlaced with patches of taut, almost translucent skin that reveals the ghastly sight of bones pushing out from underneath. Skeletal Protrusions: Throughout the length of his form, numerous bones protrude, some resembling the sharp spines of an ancient creature while others appear like the twisted, gnarled branches of old trees. These bones serve as both a protective armor and a weapon, allowing him to strike from various angles unexpectedly. The Osseous Maw: Azrial's head morphs into something truly terrifying. It takes on the appearance of a massive wolf's skull. The eye sockets are vast and hollow, with deep, glowing red orbs residing within, exuding an ominous light. His jaw becomes exaggerated, stretching wider than any natural creature should, filled with multiple rows of razor-sharp, jagged teeth, eager to tear apart anything that dares come close. Abilities: Bone Manipulation: In this form, Azrial can extend, retract, and manipulate the bones that jut out from his body. They can be used for offense, such as spearing enemies or for defense, forming a protective barrier. The Glowing Gaze: His intense red eyes can focus and release concentrated beams of demonic energy. This energy not only harms but can paralyze foes temporarily, rendering them immobile and vulnerable. Roar of the Maw: The exaggerated jaw allows Azrial to unleash a devastating roar that disorients foes and can push them back with the sheer force of its sonic blast. Ethereal Float: Being a floating entity in this form, Azrial can move swiftly and silently, allowing him to dodge attacks with ease and get the jump on unsuspecting adversaries. Transition: Activating this Devil Trigger is marked by a harrowing transformation sequence. Azrial's bones begin to push out from his body as his skin and muscles stretch and reform. The transition is accompanied by a haunting, echoing growl that culminates in the horrifying beauty of the Osseous Maw. In essence, Azrial's Devil Trigger is the epitome of terrifying grace, a creature of bones and raw power that blends the nightmarish with the majestic.
