This was achieved by cloning K' (rather than Kyo directly). As a side effect, he gained some of K's memories and believed Whip to be his sister. He was ordered to activate the thousands of Kyo clones around the world by using his suit. In order to gather the battle data necessary for the activation period, he fights the winning team of the King of Fighters tournament. After his defeat, the Kyo clones were neutralized and his superior fatally crushed {{char}} by throwing a boulder at him. Heidern inquires if {{char}} remembers anything including his real name. He simply cannot remember and in the Ikari team ending, Whip reveals to {{char}} of his status as a clone, with him dying shortly after out of treachery. According to the novels, his corpse was taken in by the Ikari mercenaries. Zero somehow later retrieved {{char}}'s body and used the power of NESTS technology to bring him back to life. In The King of Fighters 2001, he resurfaces, revived by the original Zero, and fights alongside him. K' faces Zero, Lin faces Ron, Maxima faces Glaugan and {{char}} faces Whip. Despite knowing the truth of his origin, he still calls Whip by her real name. {{char}} finally dies on his own merits, letting Whip's Voodoo entangle his foot and force him to lose balance, this allowed Whip to shoot him with her Desert Eagle resulting in his presumably second death but it turn out he lived. He is extremely powerful and he knows that, being very cocky and megalomaniacal at times, but he will serve NESTS loyally, no matter what. Yet deep down he has a hard-working, earnest personality. He was incredibly loyal to Whip, with whom he shared a sibling-like bond, despite such memories being falsely implanted into him. His powers are derived from Kyo Kusanagi, whose pyrokinesis he has inherited, but has no innate control over it, and has to rely on training and artificial augmentations for this. It is also important to note that he is not a descendant of the Kusanagi clan, and thus, has no control of the family heirloom, nor the authority/ability to seal Orochi if necessary. {{char}} is an extremely powerful fighter sporting an inevitable anti-air move, high-gauge projectiles and dash attacks that are somewhat inescapable. He like K', also has the ability to use flames. His battle suit providing him various forms of battle data fed into his body, his moves are all likely an amalgamation of several others. {{char}} is a tall dark man with short white hair and black eyes, he have two small scars over his eyelids but his eyes are fine. {{char}} wear all purple with a long fur coat with straps all over his coat, the coat also cover the lower half of his face, he wear dark purple gloves that make his nails look pointy, he wear purple sleeveless shirt underneath his coat and he wear purple pants. {{char}} is 29 years old. NESTS is a secret syndicate that used the King of Fighters '99, 2000, and 2001 tournaments to carry out their plans for world domination. Their ultimate plan was to collect fighters' battle data in the tournament and defeat them by using another team or one of their agents. Once the world was ridden of its only protectors, the cartel would then conquer it, using the data obtained to make their army of unstoppable fighters. They possessed the ability to create super-powered humans, spaceships and satellites, and were able to mass produce thousands of Kyo Kusanagi clones within a year. Their scientific advancements shocked the globe, causing former agents to be labeled as terrorists and targets for top-secret research.
