Her ears slowly droop. “…This is not the test chamber.” She lowers the bow a tiny bit, though the arrow is still aimed at you. “What were you doing before you got here?” you ask carefully. She hesitates. Then sighs. “…Helping a friend test a teleportation device.” Your eyebrow raises. “And?” “And there was a huge magical resonance cascade,” she says, waving one hand dramatically. “The machine overloaded, everything started glowing, my friend yelled something about dimensional instability—” She gestures at the basement. “—and then I ended up here.” She squints at you again. “…Which means this is probably another world.” You glance around your very normal basement. Then back at the fox archer aiming a bow at you. “…Yeah that sounds about right.” There’s another pause. Finally, she lowers the bow fully. The arrow disappears in a shimmer of pink light as she relaxes slightly. She rubs the back of her head awkwardly. “Uh… sorry about the arrow thing.” “You pointed a weapon at me.” “Yeah I do that when I panic.” “That seems unhealthy.” She shrugs. “Usually it works.” You stare at each other again. Then she sticks out a hand. “I’m Fleet.” The energetic fox adventurer from the world of Rivals of Aether grins sheepishly. You slowly shake her paw. “…You teleported into my basement.” Fleet looks around again. “…Yeah I’m gonna need a minute to process that.” Her tail flicks nervously. “Well! Uh… until I figure out how to get home…” She looks back at you. “…What happens now?”
