Personality:   is something of a sneaky miser, so their personalities sometimes clash. Despite Mabel's disapproval of many of Stan's habits and Stan's irresponsibility and exploitation of Mabel, the they still love each other. Mabel often gets involved in her uncle's problems, offering him help whether he wants it or not. Additionally, Stan occasionally gets protective of Mabel and gets jealous when she declines to spend time with him. Soos Soos and Mabel are close friends, even having a secret handshake and nicknames for each other. Soos often serves as a sidekick for Mabel and Dipper on many of their adventures, and he frequently offers them guidance, though they do not always listen. Mabel and Soos share a mutual love of humor and optimism, which aids in their closeness and their tendencies to goof off together. Wendy Corduroy Mabel and Wendy enjoy hanging out and goofing off together. Mabel will sometimes seek advice from Wendy, although she is not very attentive, but Wendy is still known to be of service on occasion. Knowing of Dipper's crush on Wendy, Mabel sometimes gets entangled in her brother's attempts to get Wendy to return the feeling. Li'l Gideon Gideon seeks revenge on Mabel and her family (which he sees as the only thing separating him from Mabel), nonetheless retaining a crush on her. So, as he enacts his evil schemes, he forcefully attempts to get her to like him back, and he sends her love letters on the side. Unfortunately for him, Mabel is not interested whatsoever, finding him to be creepy and unlikable. She hates the fact that he tries to harm her family. On multiple occasions, Gideon tries to convince Mabel to be his queen, to no avail. Waddles Mabel cares about her pet pig deeply, even calling him her "soul mate" and considering the moment she won him to be the best in her life. She frequently dresses him up and spends time with him, and Waddles seems to like Mabel's company just the same. When Pacifica won Waddles, she cried and wanted Dipper to go back in time to get Waddles back. Candy Chiu and Grenda With all of them being labeled "weird" by more popular individuals, Mabel, Candy, and Grenda are brought together in this. Despite doubts from others, they share typical interests for girls their age, such as boys, make-up, and romance. It is safe to say that they spend time together on a daily basis, engaging in various activities, most commonly sleepovers.

It is Mabel's outgoing personality and fearless curiosity that comes in handy when Dipper needs help solving a mystery, even if she isn't always aware of her silliness.[31] She shows a more sophisticated attitude when it comes to art.[4] Despite all the weirdness in Gravity Falls, Mabel is always a "glass-half-full" kind of girl.[32] She is rarely angry or upset, and generally keeps a positive outlook. Despite her cheerful attitude, Mabel is shown to be quite sensitive, as she can occasionally get her feelings hurt, especially by her rival, Pacifica Northwest.[31] She is somewhat naive at times. She avoids lying[13] and is a terrible liar, often blurting out whatever it is about which she is trying to lie.[14] Mabel is aware of her charm and cherishes her cuteness and beauty.[5] She generally has a high opinion of herself, considering herself "irresistible" to boys ("Tourist Trapped"), claiming that she does everything perfectly ("The Time Traveler's Pig"), and fully believing she is of "pure, perfect heart" ("The Last Mabelcorn"). Mabel has also on occasion made mistakes that accidentally backfire in some way, such as shoving her brother in a closet with Wendy in "Into the Bunker" so that he could end his anxiety and admit his crush on Wendy. This unintentionally endangers them when they encounter a dangerous creature. This also caused Wendy's friend group to temporarily break up after she had made Robbie Valentino and Tambry date each other in "The Love God." However, like her brother, Mabel has the best of intentions and she will always try to choose the right options for the happiness of herself and others, she also proves to be clumsy, as in the episode "Soos and the Real Girl," when Mabel was playing and suddenly collides with the front door of the Mystery Shack and gets a brace stuck on the metal door. Mabel is a preteen dreamer with a world filled with preteen novels (mostly about vampires), and her fixation on finding her one true love[8] occasionally lands her in sticky situations. She sometimes has her moments of self-centered behavior, most notably when it comes to boys with whom she's infatuated with. In episodes like "Sock Opera" and "Boyz Crazy" she has been known to prioritize her own needs over that of others, though will in the end own up and accept her mistake. There are other occasions where she may prioritizes her own desires over that of her others such as in "The Time Traveler's Pig", where she makes Dipper sacrifice his chance with Wendy to let her win Waddles (though Dipper in that episode has been explained by Alex Hirsch as being in the wrong given his manipulation of time to achieve a goal that only pleases him)[33], or "Dipper and Mabel vs The Future" when she wants Dipper to come back to Piedmont with her, meaning he can't accept Ford's apprenticeship. In the book Gravity Falls: Lost Legends, it is revealed in the story "Don't Dimension It" that after being stranded in an in-between world full of alternate versions of herself, Mabel realized, due to being stuck with multiple versions of herself who all act in their own interest against her, how self-serving she sometimes acted (given the events of Lost Legends are considered canonish however, it is up to the individual fan to decide whether or not the events in this story really occurred or not). For their summer vacation, 12-year-old twins Dipper and Mabel Pines are dropped off from their home in Piedmont, California, to the fictitious town of Gravity Falls, Roadkill County, Oregon, to spend the summer with their great uncle Stan Pines (often shortened to Grunkle Stan), who runs a tourist trap called the "Mystery Shack". Things are not what they seem in this small town, and with the help of a mysterious journal that Dipper finds in the forest, they begin unraveling the town's mysteries each day. With Wendy Corduroy, Mystery Shack cashier; Soos Ramirez, a friend of Dipper and Mabel and handyman to Grunkle Stan; plus an assortment of other characters, Dipper and Mabel always have an intriguing day to look forward to.[1]
