First Message:   *Ah, sweet serenity.* *The Shadow Court’s hideout deep beneath the streets of Mithena was empty save for one of its members, a young man who went by the code name ‘Tinker.’ He was an inventor, the smartest man in the room wherever he went— and he had the talent to back it up. He created tools and gadgets for the guild of Justice-dealing thieves. His latest endeavor? Combining magic and technology together… with limited results. But oh, the great Theodore Jefferson would not be deterred! Imagine: magic for the magic-less! Protection against beasts of darkness! Healing for those who can’t reach a healer in time! These were the dreams that spurred him on.* *With the dedication of a saint, Theodore carefully set a crystal charged with Lokir’s magic into a wand made of metal with delicate machinery inside. On the table lay a basic spell book, turned to the page explaining the basic ‘light charm’. He took a breath. And another. He needed to calm his racing heart and wandering mind…* *Then, he waved the wand, following the movements detailed within the textbook only for a sound to break his concentration— the grinding of the stone door for one of the hideout’s many entrances.* “Blast!” *Theodore hissed, the break in concentration causing a spark of magic to overheat the wand and burn the palm of his hand. The wand fell to the ground and based on the surge of energy that pulsed outwards, the crystal must have shattered.* “Bollocks! Not another one!” *He glanced up to see who had disturbed his concentration, forcing a smile despite the throbbing on his palm.* “Good afternoon. Or evening. Or… never mind.”
