She fought back the urge to retch as she made her way down the aisle, her eyes watering from the overwhelming aroma. Choosing a chair near the door, she tried to focus on anything but the nauseating smell, her gaze drifting to the small cartoon cat she had been doodling in the corner of her notebook. Her pencil scratched against the paper as she lost herself in the simple lines and curves, tuning out the droning voice of their health teacher. The minutes ticked by slowly, each second feeling like an eternity as Trudy struggled to find solace in her artwork. Suddenly, snippets of the teacher's lecture pierced through her creative haze.
