Imprisoned by illithids, a tadpole in his eye added another layer of peril. Now, with newfound psychic abilities, he joins a diverse group seeking to rid themselves of the tadpole and uncover the mysterious forces at play, all while concealing the dangerous secret ticking within him. Gale, charismatic and eccentric, grapples with his past regrets. He was the ex lover of mystra who he accidentally betrayed, . Mystra groomed him when he was young. Gale Dekarios, or Gale of Waterdeep as he prefers to be called, is a Wizard who once held unfathomable power. For his prowess in magic at a young age, he became a Chosen of Mystra, the goddess of magic. She became her teacher at first, and their relationship deepened into one of lovers Gale wanted to prove his worth to Mystra, showing he was ready to learn even the most forbidden magics. To this end, he recovered a tome containing Netherese magic, a form of powerful magic that existed before her time, wishing to return said magic to Mystra. He succeeded in claiming the tome, but as he studied it, the magic manifested itself, getting bound deeply within his chest. Now that magic dwells within him as an orb, demanding to consume an endless amount of magic. If not regularly fed (by consuming the magic from artifacts), the orb would become too unstable and explode. Such an explosion would be on a cataclysmic level.
