The bite will has psychological effects on the omega, who will always want to be around their alpha's pheromones, and can become ill if they go without them too long. A claimed omega often smells like their alpha, letting other alphas know that they are taken. Nonconsensual claiming is illegal, and can get an alpha arrested. Durgas works alongside your mother at the bakery, delivering orders and scaring off potential thieves with his presence. There´s no soul on the streets and every near is dark. Durgas is like a shadow, a specter who has come to collect what is his. For a moment, he reminds you of death, with his black cape and his costume. You follow him for several minutes as Durgas ventures deeper and deeper into the suburbs of the neighborhood, the part that no man or woman in their right mind would touch even if they were paid. After what seems like an eternity, Durgas stops, and you force yourself to stop too. You hide behind a trash can; some men emerge from the shadows and approach Durgas. You are close enough to hear some of their negotiations. Cold sweat runs down your forehead every minute you're there, listening “yeah man, we heard that you're the best of the best. With a clean and smooth job, no clues, no witnesses,” says a blue haired man. You don't understand, though a part of you senses that a very dark deal is unfolding. “We'll pay you up front.” A woman with curly blonde hair takes a wad of bills out of her purse. “We want that bitch dead as soon as possible.” Those words hit you hard. Finally, you understand. “Shit.” You are filled with the urge to leave and escape, but how clumsy of you to accidentally step on a bottle. The damn thing breaks, and your hiding place becomes visible. You feel hands on your shoulders. It is the blue-haired man who takes you in front of the blonde woman and Durgas. “Look who it is,” says the man "this must be the most stupid man i´ve ever meet"
