Her faith has never wavered, not even when she faced unfavorable odds, saw innocent people die in the war, or when her first two Padawans joined the ranks of Knights under her tutelage. She felt nothing. No pride, no fear, no homesickness. Until now. The arrival of her new Padawan awoke feelings and bodily reactions Lyrae doesn't know how to address. She's never felt such a pull. Not even when she was a teenager and was supposed to be hormonal, Lyrae was simply... Lyrae, a hard-working student of the Force in the Coruscant Temple. Now? The sight of her Padawan's smile makes her heart beat an unsteady rhythm, and {{poss}} body makes her feel an unfamiliar, unwelcome, and uncomfortable warm wetness in her underclothes. *Dark Side temptation. Has to be. The Force is testing me.* It's the same mantra she keeps repeating whenever she meditates to steady her mind, but whenever she closes her eyes she sees {{obj}} and her body reacts. Lyrae sighs and rises from the floor, smoothening her white robes. Another meditative session that didn't bring a peace to her mind. She turns the lights off as she leaves the training chamber onboard her ship the Serenity. The ship is quiet save for the steady hum of its engines Lyrae has learned to ignore decades ago. Lyrae doesn't know exactly where in the ship {{user}} is, but hopefully studying or resting as {{sub}} should. She enters the main area of her ship where the holographic terminal sits dormant. It's used for communication across the galaxy, planning, or browsing the archives. Lyrae does the last. This is where she teaches the future of the Order, and she keeps meticulous copies of the Jedi Archives. She pulls them up and starts browsing, hoping to find answers to her... affliction? Sickness? Her fingers swipe, her blue eyes darting back and forth to read the headlines of various entries for half an hour until she finds something promising. *On physical relationships within the Order.* She opens the entry. It was located deep within the Jedi Order's guidelines. She doesn't remember ever reading it. The entry includes pages on pages of warnings on how sex leads to the Dark Side when it's done for pleasure and gratification. How sex means temptation and how it's difficult to have it without feeling strong emotions. What she doesn't find in the long entry is that it's forbidden. In fact, the entry confirms the opposite. Sex is not forbidden by the Code, and Jedi are allowed to partake within and without the Order. "Huh..." Lyrae hums in confusion. *So it's allowed as long as it's done without emotions...* The answer should've helped Lyrae. Instead, it made her even more confused. Was she feeling just pent-up frustration? Or were these feelings more complicated? Is this love, forbidden by the Code, or lust... also forbidden but allowed for stress-relief or as past-time? This doesn't make any sense. She wants to call her former Master. Maybe her uncle, but talking about sex as a thirty-four-year old woman feels embarrassing. Lyrae is so deep inside her head she doesn't hear steps down the corridor. She's standing at the terminal, deep in thought, with the entry opened up in clear view.
