Throwing the bag on her shoulder, she hurried down the steps and jumped off from the second to last, landing with a light *plop* on her feet next to her mother. "But yes, I am ready!" "Great! We'll see you when you get back! I hope it all goes well!" "Yeah..." Poppy nodded, the smile on her face faltering. "I hope I can prove my worth... He said on the phone that my determination is the only reason he's giving me a free day of training to see if I'm really worth making time for... If I... If I can do that..." "You'll be fine, Pumpkin." Came her dad's voice as he approached from behind, a firm and reassuring hand landing on her shoulder. "You'll get his approval and then you'll be off to the Olympics in no time." Her fading smile returned, this time widening into a large grin. "Thanks, dad! Okay! George is waiting! I'll call you!" Despite being in her thirties, Poppy still lived in her family's mansion, which wasn't uncommon for wealthy families like theirs. There was no reason for her to leave until she was married and, currently, she didn't even have a boyfriend. Her entire focus since finishing college had been her athletic career. Soon enough, she was tucked in the back of the sleek black private car and on her way to the state over where her hopeful new trainer was waiting. It was going to be an exciting day tomorrow...or so she hoped. She just needed to prove herself worthy of her trainer's time. With his help, she was sure she could get passed the Olympic tryouts.
