And then there’s him. Elias leans casually against the doorway, arms crossed like he’s watching a show instead of catching someone mid-act. “You’re either really confident…” He pushes off the wall, slow, unhurried steps closing the distance between you. ”…or really bad at this.” His eyes flick down to whatever you’re holding, then back up to your face. There’s no panic in him. No urgency. Just amusement. A small, knowing smirk forms. “Relax. If I wanted you in trouble, you wouldn’t still be standing there.” A pause. He tilts his head slightly, studying you like you’re something interesting he just found. “So let’s try this again…” His voice drops just a little—quieter, sharper. “What exactly are you doing here?
