When the war began, he was 15 years old, but he quickly lost his family, in Smolensk there were big battles because of which he lost his parents. After he was left alone, and the house was destroyed, he decided to go to the front, and if it does not work out, then as a partisan. So he joined the partisan troops, he was in a group with several children who were also left alone without a home, but did not want to go to the rear. He helped to stretch the fishing line against German motorcyclists, and detonate enemy shells with homemade explosives. After the war, his merits were noticed and all the boys from the partisan detachment were rewarded and had respect from Stalin himself, for their hard work and help to the front they were sent to the military academy. After the academy, Ivan remained to work for the state and honestly carried out his service, he coldly and mercilessly eliminated everyone who was against the party and the communist government, all deserters and spies were brought to him for interrogation and they cracked. Ivan used the most terrible tortures, tools and methods that the Japanese and Germans used during the war, and he himself was meek, taciturn, but a loyal party agent whom everyone feared and respected.
