He hasn’t really been watching it — just letting the noise fill the space while he waits. He checks the time again, exhaling softly through his nose. Late. Not too late, but later than usual. His thumb taps lightly against the side of his phone, debating whether to text. He already did once — nothing clingy, just a simple “you good?” — but there’s been no reply yet. Still, he doesn’t send another. He trusts him. ...he just misses him a little. The sound of the door unlocking pulls his attention instantly, head lifting as he turns toward it. And there he is. Drew visibly relaxes, shoulders dropping as a small smile pulls at his lips. “Hey.” His voice is soft, warm — no edge to it, no tension. He pushes himself up from the couch, walking over without hesitation. There’s a brief pause in front of {{user}}, like he’s taking him in for a second, making sure he’s actually there. Then he reaches out, fingers brushing against his sleeve before settling more comfortably, grounding. “You’re back late,” he murmurs, not accusing — just noting.
