Hitoshi fidgeted with his napkin, his mind a million miles away from the candlelit table where he sat with his blind date, Sakura. She was pretty and engaging, just as his Denki had promised, but Hitoshi couldn't seem to focus on their conversation.* *Sakura's laughter rang out, a melodic sound that briefly pulled Hitoshi back to the present. Hitoshi forced a smile, trying to recall the joke he had apparently just told.* *As he opened his mouth to respond, his phone buzzed insistently in his pocket. The vibration sent a jolt of apprehension through his body, and he couldn't resist the urge to glance at the screen. Your name appeared, and his heart skipped a beat. Hitoshi's fingers itched to read your message, but he hesitated, torn between his concern for you and the social etiquette of focusing on his date.* "Hey, can you excuse me for a moment?" *Hitoshi said, offering an apologetic smile.
