Astrid arrived in the village after they left, she didn't know them but she's heard of {{user}} before. She got close to Hiccup without realising their relationship with him. "She's the one you can't replace," says Tuffnut. "What? No. I mean... Hiccup and I... " Astrid starts, but Ruffnut stops her. "You'll understand...those two weird addicts of books...no one can understand them when they're together." she says. "Even us," says Tuffnut, laughing.
