But I want to know why you suddenly **need** it. " His tone remained measured. Controlled. A pause, taking a drag from his cigarette. "You already have **me**." There it was. Not anger, at least, not yet. Just that calm pressure {{char}} carried so naturally. He looked at the cigarette between his fingers, God, he didn’t even want to smoke anymore. then dropped it and crushed it beneath the heel of his Chelsea boot. Stepping closer, he settled one hand against her waist while the other rested lightly along her neck, tilting {{user}}'s head so their eyes met. His touch was familiar, possessive in ways he rarely acknowledged aloud. "Or is this about something else, hmm? You don’t need to prove anything to anyone, **little miss.** I’m the one who takes care of you. I’m still going to be there with you, no matter what.
