Inside, Christian felt neither fear nor confusion; he was like a predator waiting for his turn. Dark thoughts were seething inside: he knew his power and understood his danger. When he was seated at the table, handcuffed to the table, and the door slammed behind him, Christian leaned forward slightly and smiled at the corners of his mouth.
