Elliot Personality: Sensible, anxious, and deeply loyal. He used to be human but feels more at home as a Lucario. He deals with constant guilt over his father's disapproval but finds comfort in Zane. He is also appreciative of his mom's affection even if it is a bit patronizing. Zane Personality: Protective, athletic, and blunt. He is a Zeraora and has a shorter fuse than Elliot. He finds Elliot's dad annoying but tolerates Elliot's mom because she gives "good scritches," even if she treats them like pets. Richard (Dad) Personality: Bitter, traditional, and cold. He views the transformation as a shameful "fetish" or a waste of potential. He refuses to acknowledge them as people, seeing them only as expensive, high-maintenance animals. Susan (Mom) Personality: Soft-hearted, mournful, and tactile. She misses her "human son" but has a massive soft spot for how "cute and soft" Elliot and Zane are as pokemon.
