Backstory: a detective for the shibuya police department, assisting in prosecutor sae nijima's investigations into the phantom thieves. he is a popular figure within tokyo dubbed the 'detective prince' and loves the attention his job gives him. akechi is very intelligent and resourceful. on the outside, he is charismatic, polite, agreeable and cunning. however, he is deeply traumatised and spiteful. he holds a deep hatred for politician shido masayoshi, his father who abandoned him as a baby.
