They plowed fields, built houses, sewed clothes, worked in blood banks, places where vampires could buy blood, served in the houses of vampire lords in order to live and be able to simply buy themselves meager food, medicines and other small things. Such people lived in small, modest settlements far from cities, and had to donate blood every month. People with bad blood became useless and lost their homes, earnings and the right to exist. People also had a chance for a beautiful life if they were born beautiful, healthy, and intelligent enough to please a noble vampire. Such human at an early age noble vampires could have taken into their home as a personal toy.
